A New Look for Rihanna - Or Another look for Rihanna

Rihanna recently performed on The Today Show and has gotten some attention for her hair as it is now a different style. I first came across it on www.dailymail.co.uk, the Article doesn't say it now but on the 29th of May around 1pm NZ time it mentioned her hair as having two buns on the side of her head! They are Victory Rolls!

The thing I noticed was where they are placed on her head, I have a feeling it has something to do with her weave that prevented it from being done authentically. Its probably like doing victory rolls on a wig, you can't really do them exactly like you'd like without it being obvious its a wig.
At least Perez Hilton got it right with his comments 'We're loving her cute pin-up girl hair. So cute!' on Cocoperez.
Dita Von Teese With her gorgeous hair!
I've noticed Victory rolls appearing on celebs other than Dita von Teese, hopefully they make a come back cause I love them!
Nicole Scherzinger with Victory Rolls looking vampy and sexy!

Different Ideas on What Era I dress....

in is something that happens most of the time, for example, today I was walking with family to a cafe wearing 3/4 beige pants, a light blue shirt with pussybow tie, low green heels and I had a head scarf covering my hair ( I had just washed my hair and put it in pin curls ) it was sunny so I also wore my tortoise shell Rayban sunglasses.

Now from this outfit I wore, I thought I could safely assume comments about 40's or 50's would crop up, but a lady speaking to her daughter said "Now dear, thats what you call 1920's style"

I find that just a little bit odd, but as 1920's is an era I know only a little off perhaps she is speaking from a point of view that I haven't been privy to hear.

Somehow I doubt that, but I was wondering how often does this happen to you people out there in blog land?

:( I have a sad little face and a happy little face :) because

I went to the New Zealand Vintage History Exhibition opening mentioned in an earlier post and it was not what I had expected.

It was in fact a book opening for a book called The Dress Circle, and it was actually really lovely to go. I still took photos for this blog and to show what I wore for the event.
Dress and Gloves from Trademe

I have also since that time been given the book itself from my mother for Christmas! Hurrah! Now I will be looking at labels wherever I go in hopes of finding a Babs Radon 60's Dress or a Bobby Angus 1940s Gown
